Brown Falconer has worked with the Department for Education’s Permanent Modular Education Facilities Program to deliver the Golden Grove Primary School upgrade, creating learning spaces designed for contemporary teaching and student engagement.
The project introduces two new buildings linked by a central covered outdoor learning area. The western building is the new resources centre, and the eastern building is dedicated to performance and arts. Both buildings respond to the existing higher brick structures to the south while maintaining clear views to the school oval to the north.
Students enter through the central outdoor space, which features mini amphitheatres, a sunken yarning circle, and stepped decking. These elements provide a variety of outdoor learning scenarios and connect seamlessly to the existing oval and play areas, supporting flexible, engaging, and collaborative learning experiences.
