Concordia College Early Learning Centre

Design

The Concordia College Early Learning Centre expansion enhances the St John’s campus by creating flexible, resource-rich environments that support play-based learning, child wellbeing, and family engagement. The design reflects the College’s educational philosophy, where every space is a learning opportunity and the environment is connected to nature.

Activity spaces for children aged 3 to 5 are seamlessly linked to bespoke outdoor learning areas, support spaces, and an entry piazza, enabling exploration, inquiry, and collaboration. The former Activity Hall has been transformed into a welcoming double-height foyer with natural light, views to nature, and calming furnishings. The architecture integrates large and small spaces across a double-storey volume, visually connecting to the Primary School staff hub above, supporting incidental interactions and a strong sense of community across the campus.
