Brown Falconer has been working with Westminster School since 2015, delivering significant new and redeveloped facilities across the early years, primary and secondary school facilities on campus.
Designed in collaboration with Hayball Architects, the Westminster School Inquiry & Innovation Hub is the first stage of a multistage project which will also result in the delivery of a Library/Food/Performing Arts Hub, a refurbished Arts and IT Precinct within an existing wing of the senior school and a central, whole of school landscape outdoor area – “Westminster Square”.
The Inquiry & Innovation Hub provides a blank canvas for inquiry, with materials and food tech facilities on the ground floor, fashion, computational design and science on the upper floors. Aligning new learning spaces with Westminster School’s vision, values and educational priorities, a quote from a Westminster student upon the opening of the centre captures the essence of the development:
‘Just being in this building makes me want to study science, it makes me want to inquire about things’
