Main & Cherry Cellar Door

The Main & Cherry cellar door in the Clarendon subregion of McLaren Vale has been designed to reflect the values of the family-owned winery. Juxtaposing the contemporary and traditional, the cellar door highlights the innovative methods winemaker Michael Sexton utilises in his vintages built on established winemaking techniques. Working with the contrasting materials of steel and stone, the building blends a traditional homestead and modern pavilion that celebrates views over the hills and gulf. The resulting design is local yet international and aligned with the welcoming and unpretentious principles of the local community.
